This event meant that he was considered a hero whose quick and decisive response saved the lives of many people. But after a few days this would-be policeman became the main suspect not only for the FBI. The slandering and libelous media and public opinion turned his life into a nightmare. Jewell turned to the independent, anti-system lawyer Watson Bryant for help, firmly insisting on his innocence. While trying to clean up the client's reputation, Bryant quickly finds that the simultaneous fight against federal, state, city police and media agents is truly breakneck. Additionally, the fact that Richard is overly trusting those who try to destroy him doesn't help him.
